Who we are

Lauren Ronsisvalle
Director
Lauren has well over a decade of experience working as a certified practicing speech pathologist.
She has experience across public and private healthcare settings with early years children, right through to older adults.
Some of her achievements include:​

Following on from qualifying as a speech pathologist, Lauren completed an additional honours research degree in 2012 exploring the conversational skills used by adults with Traumatic Brain Injury and their communication partners.

She was awarded Dean Scholar in 2013 by the University of Sydney for the quality of this thesis.

Lauren spoke at the 2013 Australasian Society for Studies in Brain Injury (ASSBI).

She then went on to work for the NHS (UK public health system) for 2 years, providing speech pathology services at multiple acute hospitals, paediatric community clinics, and as part of a fluency (stuttering) team.

Upon returning to Australia, Lauren has worked as a private practitioner in the Southern Highlands and western Sydney for some years before returning to her hometown of Wollongong.

​Lauren is an LSVT LOUD certified clinician, and an LSVT LOUD for Kids certified clinician. The Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) is considered the gold standard treatment protocol for people with articulation difficulties (dysarthria) due to Parkinsons Disease. It also has applications for improving speech clarity in children with neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsey and Downs Syndrome.

These days, Lauren has 2 young children which keep her busy in her spare time. When she has a chance, she likes getting out in the garden, doing a crossword or playing piano.
